James E. Donlevie

With over 35 years of supply chain management experience gained while working for some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, Mr. Donlevie has successfully developed, led, and managed complex, global supply chains.
Mr. Donlevie assists his clients with supply chain risk management and business continuity/disaster recovery program implementation, as well as the development of strategic supply chain organizations.
Prior to joining CRL, Mr. Donlevie was Vice President, Worldwide Logistics for Global Biologics Supply Chain, LLC, the Global Supply Chain organization for Johnson and Johnson, Inc.'s Bio-pharmaceuticals business. Mr. Donlevie has 35 years of experience in pharmaceutical operations management with both large and small molecule products, including manufacturing, planning, procurement, cold chain management and new product planning. He has interfaced extensively with R&D and marketing organizations in preparation for the planning and launch of new products. He has been responsible for the development and launch of computerized planning systems across a global network of companies and has coordinated global procurement initiatives. Additionally, Mr. Donlevie was responsible for developing and managing the business continuity planning function for the Johnson and Johnson Bio-pharmaceuticals business.
Mr. Donlevie supports client initiatives in the following areas:
- Development of strategic supply chain and sourcing strategies;
- Development and strategic implementation of worldwide and local enterprise risk management and business continuity planning;
- Developing international planning, supply, and product delivery systems;
- Planning and support of pharmaceutical product launches;
- Troubleshooting of manufacturing, packaging and product delivery problems;
- Developing cold-chain delivery networks for pharmaceutical products.
Mr. Donlevie has lived and worked in Europe and has considerable international operational experience; including working with Japanese and French companies. He has a working knowledge of French.
Mr. Donlevie received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and has extensive training in all aspects of managing a supply chain. He served as a board member on the Internal Boards of two Johnson and Johnson companies.
